Welcome to Business Development Service Providers Network

BDSPN is a member-based organization composed of ILO-certified and Licensed Master Trainers and Trainers (individualand corporate member categories) legally registered in 2014 as a non-profit making organization limited by guarantee, under the Companies Act 2012.

The Formation of the network was spear headed by Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) Master Trainers and GET Ahead Lead Trainers with the support of ILO – Uganda in 2013.

ABOUT SIYB

SIYB is a materials-based training programme for emerging entrepreneurs who want to be actively involved in different forms of business, those who have started but are struggling with sustainability of their businesses. This very interactive training can be organized flexibly according to clients’ needs, and is and taught using advanced participatory adult training methodologies

GYBI

The GYBI package is helpful for any potential entrepreneur who is interested in starting a business but is not sure of which business idea to pursue. The objective of that package is to enable participants to develop a suitable business idea to start a business by the end of the training.

ABOUT GET AHEAD

A training package focusing on Basic enterprise management Developing women’s confidence; Creating a ‘business mind’; Helping manage people and risk; and Grasping opportunities in the business environment. It incorporates gender aspects into entrepreneurship to
support women’s business

SYB

SYB is for potential entrepreneurs with a suitable/feasible/practical business idea who are interested in starting a business on the right footing. The objective of SYB training is that by the end of the training, participants should be able to develop a fundable business plan.

IYB

IYB is a management training program for owners and managers of micro, small, and medium enterprises. The objective id that by the end of the training, participants should be equipped with knowledge and skills on how to improve the performance of the business.

THE SIYB BUSINESS GAME

The Game brings theory to life and provides an opportunity to practice knowledge and skills. The objective of playing all four modules of The Game isthat the participants gradually understandthe complexity and many factors influencing running a successful business.
